Blue Quartz Freeform

Blue quartz forms when microscopic mineral fibers—such as dumortierite, tourmaline, or riebeckite—become trapped inside clear silicon dioxide (SiO₂) crystals during hydrothermal growth in metamorphic rocks. It is widely used in crystal healing to promote calm, clarity, and open communication. Pure quartz is colorless; the blue hue comes from tiny, needle-like or fibrous mineral inclusions (like dumortierite or tourmaline) embedded inside the crystal lattice. It typically grows deep underground within hydrothermal veins, metamorphic rocks, and pegmatites.
